Heartbound is a story-driven RPG inspired by classic SNES-era adventures, following Lore and his dog Baron through a surreal journey involving memory, trauma, secrets, and reality-bending choices. Instead of conventional leveling and equipment systems, the game focuses on exploration, dialogue, puzzles, consequence-driven decisions, and combat encounters built around enemy-specific minigames. There is no traditional experience system: Lore’s health and the player’s skill are the primary forms of progression.
