Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell on PS4 is a standalone expansion to Saints Row IV, developed by High Voltage Software and Volition, and published by Deep Silver. It was released on January 20, 2015 in North America and January 23, 2015 in Europe. The game is set in Hell, where players control either Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington on a quest to save the Boss's soul from Satan. Players can fly through the air on fallen angel's wings, summon devilish imps to attack foes, and surround themselves in a divine aura that forces all to worship them. The game features an open-world city sandbox called New Hades with five distinct islands including a barren wasteland of an ancient war, a towering downtown for Hell's elite, and crammed slums built for ultimate suffering. Players can wage war in any way they want: rescue allies, pick fights with nightmarish Arch-Dukes, rob Satan's soul processing plants, and more. The game includes an arsenal of underworld-themed weapons like exploding frogs, swarms of locusts, and the 7 Legendary Deadly Weapons representing the seven deadly sins. Superhuman abilities from Saints Row IV return, and the game features a full-length musical number, historical icons, old friends, older enemies, and a talking gun.
