Jak and Daxter HD Collection on PS3 (known as The Jak and Daxter Trilogy in PAL regions) is a 2012 video game compilation developed by Mass Media Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was first released in North America on February 7, 2012. The collection contains high-definition remastered ports of the first three PlayStation 2 games: Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (2001), Jak II (2003), and Jak 3 (2004). All three games were remastered to support 720p HD resolution with a fixed frame rate of 60 frames per second (30 fps in stereoscopic 3D mode). The collection features enhanced graphics, smoother gameplay animation, PlayStation Network trophy support for each game, and stereoscopic 3D compatibility. The core game story and mechanics remain unchanged from the original PS2 versions. The games blend action, shooting, driving, and platforming into one complete package, following fan-favorite Jak and his sidekick Daxter through their action-packed adventures.
